I don’t always enjoy standing over a stove early in the morning, but this is a great breakfast recipe (or if you like breakfast for lunch or dinner, which I do sometimes!) and takes about five minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to bake.  Meaty & cheesy!  I love a good recipe that lets the oven do most of the work.

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 325º.  Open can of biscuits and using a serrated knife, cut each one in half.  Each can of biscuits will have 8 biscuits, now you’ll have sixteen biscuit halves:

Place 8 biscuit halves in an 8″ round baking pan.  If you don’t have a silicone one like me, be sure to spray some nonstick spray to prevent sticking.

Pinch together edges of the biscuits to create a seam:

Sprinkle cheese on top of biscuits.

In a small mixing bowl add eggs and salt.  Lightly beat.  Add chopped ham (or sausage or bacon or even all three, whatever you like!) and beat into eggs.

Pour mixture right over cheese:
Cover everything with the remaining 8 biscuit halves and pinch together edges:
Bake at 325º for 30 minutes.  Brush butter on top, cut and serve!
